Zamparini: 'I fear Milan'

Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini concedes he is afraid of tomorrow night's match. “Milan are just too strong.”

The Rosanero won both their meetings with the giants last season, including a 2-0 victory at San Siro.

“Milan are a great side that put fear into every opponent, including us,” said Zamparini.

“Did I say that last season too? I can't remember. In any case, it is a difficult game, Milan are just too strong.”

Palermo had lost four on the bounce between Serie A and the Europa League, but are back in business after beating Genoa at the weekend.

There have been reports that Zamparini is planning on a big January signing, such as Sampdoria outcast Antonio Cassano.

“Absolutely not. I was asked by journalists whether I would ever sign Cassano and I replied that yes, I would, but not right now.

“I wouldn't know where to put him in the team. Maybe one day, if I no longer have Javier Pastore...”
