A scout from Spanish giants Barcelona apparently watched Udinese star Alexis Sanchez on Sunday.
The Chile international put in a breathtaking performance scoring four goals in a 7-0 win at Palermo.
He is now being touted as one of the best players in Italy and has already generated interest from Manchester United and Inter.
La Gazzetta dello Sport understands Barcelona were represented by a scout at the Renzo Barbera, although Sanchez's valuation will have sky rocketed.
The 22-year-old is now said to be worth between €35m and €40m, more than double what Inter were thinking about offering in January.
