Naples names pizza after Cavani

After making hundreds of miniature figurines of star striker Edinson Cavani, the people of Naples have gone one better by naming a pizza in his honour.

Cavani has fast become an idol of Napoli's supporters following his move from Palermo in the summer.

He scored both goals in the club's 2-0 victory over Parma at the weekend.

In all the Uruguay international has found the net 11 times in 16 appearances for the Partenopei and looks likely to challenge for the Capocannoniere.

La Gazzetta dello Sport understands that the Cavani pizza is a Calzone called El Matador, which pays tribute to his nickname.

The pizza is remarkable for the fact that it is actually styled in the shape of a matador's hat.
