Zac: Japan will rise again

Alberto Zaccheroni is convinced Japan will rise again following the earthquake and tsunami that caused devastation last week.

The Italian tactician returned home today after experiencing the natural disaster first hand in the Japanese capital Tokyo.

Speaking to Sky Italia, he said: "Japan will rise again after this terrible disaster and football can give its contribution, of that I am sure."

Asked to describe what happened, he replied: "It was like being in a house of rubber. Everything bent, but fortunately held up well.

"We were inside our building on the fourth floor of a 21-floor skyscraper when we were hit by two very violent shocks that made several things turn upside down in the house.

"As soon as the apartment stopped 'dancing' we left the building using an emergency stairwell, avoiding the lifts.

"After that we went to a public park in front of our skyscraper. Here we saw many people who, with a lot of composure, were used to living with earthquakes, but certainly not ones with such great intensity, and they couldn't hide the great fright they had felt."
