Sampdoria will start a new era at the club next season with the summer arrivals of boss Delio Rossi and sporting director Walter Sabatini, reports suggest.
Doria started this term in the Champions League with Domenico Di Carlo at the helm of a squad that included Antonio Cassano and Giampaolo Pazzini.
However, they were quickly disposed of in Europe, their two best players left in January and Di Carlo was axed earlier this month.
The club now find themselves just three points above the relegation zone having hired Alberto Cavasin recently.
However, it could be all change again next season if Cavasin manages to keep them in the top flight.
Should that happen then it is claimed that Rossi will be appointed as the new tactician following his recent dismissal at Palermo.
Rossi, also linked with Palermo, will allegedly be joined at the club by a man he knows well in the form of Sabatini.
The latter worked with Rossi at Lazio and Palermo and is well regarded for his transfer market knowledge, especially for his ability to buy well in South America.
