Former goalkeeper Gianluca Pagliuca has backed Inter to knock out Schalke and reach the Champions League semi-finals.
Inter are said to be very confident of making the last four of the competition after this afternoon's draw.
"I believe that it couldn't have gone any better for Inter," Pagliuca said. "It's certainly a favourable draw because the Germans are inferior to the Nerazzurri."
Pagliuca was a member of the Inter side that lost to Schalke in the 1997 UEFA Cup Final.
"The first time that we met, we were defeats. But we managed to make up for it the following year by beating them in the quarter-finals.
"German teams are tough, but Inter have already shown against Bayern that they have character.
"I really don't believe they'll have any problems going through."
