Cesena take on wounded Lazio today and Coach Massimo Ficcadenti faces his “mentor” Edy Reja.
“He was my Coach at Verona and Torino, so I greatly respect him and we have always had a strong rapport,” explained Ficcadenti.
“If Lazio are having such a great season, it is down to his vision and he deserves much of the credit.”
The Sea Horses are unbeaten in three rounds, including a victory over Sampdoria and 2-2 draw with Juventus.
“There is a positive and relaxed atmosphere around the team, as our recent outings provided just reward for our football.
“It is a difficult game to read. After losing the Rome derby, Lazio could have some scars left over, but at the same time fire up a desire to fight back that can make the difference.
“We'll give our best, just as we have done throughout the season to avoid relegation. I think we're more accustomed than most to the idea of a battle, so go into another battle with Lazio.”
Emanuele Giaccherini is suspended, while Ivan Fatic, Igor Budan, Dias Felipe, Paolo Sammarco and Alessandro Rosina are sidelined.
