Gigi De Canio is suffering from flu, so his assistant manager declared “there will be no barricades” against Inter.
The Coach was unable to make it to the pre-match Press conference ahead of tomorrow's big game against the Nerazzurri.
“We have prepared for this, knowing it will be a difficult game,” said assistant manager Roberto Rizzo.
“We are coming off two consecutive defeats, but the team is still in good shape and we're going to San Siro in order to do well.”
The Salentini held Inter to a 1-1 draw at the Stadio Via del Mare earlier this season.
“Lecce have never lacked courage, as this is our way of approaching the sport. We're incapable of clamming up and sitting back, unless forced into it by the attacks of our opponents.
“We have practiced doubling up marking during the week, but if we did that to every quality Inter player, then we'd need two teams!
“The great thing about the Nerazzurri is that they create so much attacking football, which of course leads them to concede a few as well. We must therefore focus on taking every opportunity.”
