Michel Bastos and Javier Mascherano are Juventus' top transfer targets this summer, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Juventus owner Andrea Agnelli has decided to keep faith in general manager Beppe Marotta and his right-hand man Fabio Paratici despite a disastrous season.
La Gazzetta understands that Agnelli has accepted Marotta's excuse that he didn't have much time to plan for the transfer window last summer and that injuries have played their part too.
He has apparently been given the all-clear to bring in Lyon's Brazil international wing-back Michel Bastos for whom negotiations have already started.
However, Mascherano is the No 1 priority and will be the centerpiece of Juventus' transfer strategy this summer. The Argentina international has found it hard to settle in Barcelona from a professional perspective and may seek a move at the end of the season.
