Bologna talisman Marco Di Vaio has put pen to paper on a new contract with the club, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The veteran striker met Bologna's directors with his agent on Tuesday to sign a two-year deal without an option for a third.
While La Gazzetta claims that there isn't the promise of a job with the club after his retirement, the local media in Bologna think otherwise.
They believe he will also be offered a four-year deal to work for Bologna either as an ambassador or as a director.
Incidentally, Di Vaio has accepted a 20 per cent wage cut to help Bologna through these difficult financial times.
The contract has been deposited with the Lega and will be made official on Monday.
