Milan have formally launched an appeal to overturn Zlatan Ibrahimovic's three-match suspension.
Ibrahimovic was punished following his red card against Bari for hitting defender Marco Rossi.
It means the Sweden international misses next week's potentially title-deciding Derby della Madonnina.
Milan's lawyer Leandro Cantamessa has asked that the ban be reduced to one match on the basis that his offence wasn't tantamount to violent conduct.
If successful, Ibrahimovic will sensationally be available for the game against Inter having already missed Milan's trip to Palermo.
