Ballardini: 'I have a few offers'

Davide Ballardini is not necessarily waiting for Genoa to propose a contract renewal. “I've have already received a few offers.”

The Coach was brought in mid-season to replace Gian Piero Gasperini and, after a difficult start, has taken them to mid-table.

President Enrico Preziosi said he will decide by April 20 whether the tactician will remain on the bench for next season.

“It's not yet time to discuss a renewal,” Ballardini told newspaper Secolo XIX.

“I have already received a few offers, but I would certainly like to stay here. I don't know where I'll be next season.

“The many names people have suggested as my replacement at Genoa do not annoy me, as I couldn't care less.

“The President is absolutely free to make his own decisions, as am I. We are free people.

“I am grateful to President Preziosi for bringing me here and there is respect between us, so que sera sera.”
