Inter's talismanic defender Marco Materazzi is expected to make his first start of the season in the Derby della Madonnina against Milan on Sunday evening.
The 37-year-old centre-back replaces Walter Samuel who looks to be out for the rest of the campaign after tearing his cruciate ligaments in his right knee.
Inter boss Rafa Benitez has decided to trust in the old guard when making his team selection for his first derby, pairing Materazzi with Ivan Cordoba in defence.
There will apparently be places for Javier Zanetti and Dejan Stankovic in the starting line up too while Wesley Sneijder is expected to take up a position behind Diego Milito and Samuel Eto'o.
