Milan striker Alexandre Pato claims Saturday's Derby della Madonnina is too important to miss.
The Brazil international is recovering from an ankle injury and hopes to be ready in time.
Milan need Pato to spearhead their attack, as Zlatan Ibrahimovic is still serving a suspension.
Inter are just two points behind the League leaders and can overtake their rivals with a win.
Interviewed by Vanity Fair, Pato said: "I still have a little problem with the left ankle, but I think and I want it to be in place for the derby.
"It's too important," he added. "Last year was a bad year from an injuries point of view. But now, thanks to God, it's all in place."
