Man Utd to poach Marchisio?

Claudio Marchisio's contract expires in June 2014 and it's reported Manchester United are ready to poach the Juventus talent.

The midfielder grew up in the Bianconeri youth academy and became a key figure when they were demoted to Serie B in 2006.

Marchisio has become an Italy international, but talks over improved contract talks have stalled.

It is reported in Italy that he is demanding a pay rise before putting pen to paper on a new deal. The 25-year-old currently earns just €1m per season.

However, Manchester United have joined Inter in tracking the situation and hope to take advantage.

It is not the first time that United have been linked with Serie A stars this month, as Sir Alex Ferguson is also said to be showing an interest in Inter's Wesley Sneijder and Udinese talent Alexis Sanchez.
