Yebda aims to emulate Maradona

Napoli midfielder Hassan Yebda claims the players would like to emulate Diego Maradona's example and see this team make history again.

The Partenopei are still in the title race with a three-point gap separating Walter Mazzarri's side from League leaders Milan.

Napoli face Lazio on Sunday and take a great leap forward towards qualification for next year's Champions League, if not the Scudetto.

"I am having a great spell," Yebda said. "I feel the confidence of the Coach and my teammates. Moreover, I also just scored a very important goal in the North African derby between Algeria and Morocco.

"We would like to make history like Maradona's team. It would be a dream.

"Milan and Inter are the favourites for victory in the Scudetto. But we are hopeful that they will draw tomorrow and that we can take points off both of them."
