Derby tactics up in the air

There are still tactical uncertainties in the Milan derby, as Leonardo considers Goran Pandev in a trident attack, while the Rossoneri have a midfield mystery.

This evening the Scudetto showdown at San Siro will be without the suspended Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Lucio.

Inter are thought to be considering a change of approach, as during training Leonardo tested a 4-2-1-3 system with Wesley Sneijder supporting a trident of Goran Pandev, Samuel Eto'o and Giampaolo Pazzini.

It would mean dropping either Dejan Stankovic or Esteban Cambiasso to make room for Pandev.

At the back, Cristian Chivu and Andrea Ranocchia are not 100 per cent fit, but both could even start.

Failing that, Ivan Cordoba would step in for one of the two.

Over at Milan, the main problems for Coach Massimiliano Allegri are in midfield.

It looks as if Kevin-Prince Boateng will support Alexandre Pato and Robinho, leaving Antonio Cassano on the bench.

In the middle, Gennaro Gattuso is to be accompanied by either Clarence Seedorf or Mark Van Bommel plus one of Mathieu Flamini and Urby Emanuelson.
