Edy Reja still can't believe Lazio's defeat in Naples. “You can't score three goals at the San Paolo and lose.”
The visitors were leading 2-0, but fell 4-3 in a dramatic Serie A clash.
“You can't come to Naples, score three goals at the San Paolo and lose the game,” said the Coach.
“We prepared for the match well, but when 2-0 up we lacked a bit of determination to kill off the match.
“It's a shame, as the lads took the right approach, although some things need to be looked at in defence.”
It was a special game for Reja, who returned to this stadium for the first time as an opponent after five years taking Napoli from Serie C1 to the top flight.
“My sentiments for this crowd remains intact and it's very pleasing to see they feel the same way. I thank everyone, it was a game of immensely strong sensations.
“This match was for the Champions League and not everything becomes more difficult.”
