Hamsik hails Napoli supporters

Napoli midfielder Marek Hamsik has praised the club's supporters for travelling in numbers for Sunday's match against Bologna.

Around 15,000 Napoli fans made the trip to the Renato Dall'Ara, accounting for nearly half its capacity.

Napoli won 2-0 thanks to goals from Giuseppe Mascara and Hamsik, who scored from the penalty spot.

Walter Mazzarri's side remain very much in the title race. Napoli are three points behind League leaders Milan with six games of the season remaining.

"Our fans were fantastic in Bologna," Hamsik said. "There were around 15,000 despite the 600km in distance from Naples. It was like playing at home.

"We played very well above all in the first half. We deserved to take the lead then we managed the game well. I am very happy with these three points."
