Cesare Prandelli has called Cristian Ledesma, Alessandro Diamanti, Federico Balzaretti, Andrea Ranocchia, Alberto Aquilani and Mario Balotelli against Romania.
The Italy Coach is taking this opportunity to experiment with his squad for Wednesday's match in Klagenfurt.
Ledesma is the one who stands out, as the Lazio midfielder is from Argentina and has made himself available for the Azzurri.
He joins fellow Oriundi Mauro Camoranesi and Amauri in recently accepting a switch to the Nazionale.
Brescia starlet Diamanti has impressed so far this season and received his maiden call, joining Palermo full-back Balzaretti and Genoa's Under-21 international defender Ranocchia.
There are also some important returns to the squad, such as Manchester City striker Balotelli following his injury problems.
Juventus midfielder Aquilani is back in the Italy side and Davide Santon of Inter also makes his return.
The team will come together at the Coverciano training ground on Monday morning.
