Serie A: Post-Match Comments

Lazio 2-0 Napoli

Edy Reja: “The criticism we received in the past week was unacceptable considering what we have achieved. We will fight to the end for the top spots.”

Walter Mazzarri: “We paid the price for fatigue and therefore lacked sharpness. Mauro Zarate's handling offence for the goal seemed clear from the bench.”

Bari 0-1 Parma

Giampiero Ventura: “We deserved the victory today, but were extremely unlucky and Parma won with their only shot on target. We have to work together and continue improving.”

Pasquale Marino: “With two consecutive wins our self-esteem improves and so does our position in the table. Now we work with greater enthusiasm. We need to give Sebastian Giovinco time to fully recover.”

Bologna 1-0 Brescia

Alberto Malesani: “Marco Di Vaio finishes off the chances, but it is the team performance that is improving, thanks also to the youngsters. We aren't scoring many, but we will improve further.”

Beppe Iachini: “We play really good football, but have to learn to put the ball in the back of the net. We are not getting the results we deserve.”

Cagliari 0-1 Genoa

Pier Paolo Bisoli: “The crowd is on our side, but at the moment everything is going wrong. There are no problems between me and the team. I am just disappointed with this lack of good fortune.”

Davide Ballardini: “We did well and were also lucky. This squad is strong and we have everything we need to do well this season. Andrea Ranocchia deserves his Italy call-up.”

Palermo 3-1 Catania

Delio Rossi: “We give credit to Catania for playing a great game, but the lads really wanted this derby win. If Javier Pastore continues like this, he'll be world class.”

Marco Giampaolo: “We played very well and created the chances to take the lead. It's just a shame to have lost so heavily after such a good performance.”

Sampdoria 0-0 Chievo

Mimmo Di Carlo: “At the moment things aren't going right for us, but the draw with Chievo was the right result. In the last few rounds we haven't got as many points as we deserved.”

Stefano Pioli: “We took the right approach to the match. We had some important players missing and the response was positive. It's a shame we lacked that winning finish.”

Udinese 4-0 Lecce

Francesco Guidolin: “Our position in the standings could've been even better at this stage of the season. We played with quality and created many opportunities to score. I believe Antonio Di Natale is one of the best strikers in Europe.”

Gigi De Canio: “When we are on our travels, we seem to give up at the first sign of trouble. We were unable to stand up to Udinese with the right determination and the pace of their game put us under pressure.”
