The Garrone family are looking at the worst case scenario and insist “we will keep hold of Sampdoria even in Serie B.”
The Blucerchiati are just one point off the relegation zone, having qualified for the Champions League preliminary round last season.
“The Garrone family will keep hold of Sampdoria even if there is relegation into Serie B,” said Edoardo Garrone, the son of President Riccardo.
“We believe in safety and have no intention of breaking away from the club. We are there in the good times, we'll be there in the bad.
“We are all trying to work hard to give our best. I came to the training ground today to speak to the squad.”
Samp fired Domenico Di Carlo and things have deteriorated under Alberto Cavasin, but reports of a recall for the former Coach were waved away.
“We will carry on with Cavasin even if we lose against Milan this week. As for the new director of sport, we must wait and see where we are next season. Serie A requires some decisions, while in Serie B the situation clearly changes.”
