Palombo: 'Samp aren't dead yet'

Sampdoria captain Angelo Palombo won't slide into Serie B without a fight. “We're not dead yet and can get back on our feet against Milan.”

The Blucerchiati finished fourth last season, but are now just one point clear of the relegation zone after two points from seven rounds.

“We're not dead yet,” declared Palombo. “We are going through a difficult moment that the club jersey doesn't deserve, but we have to be as positive as possible.

“If we let our heads drop, then we risk making the situation even worse.

“We can get back on our feet against Milan and are preparing a great performance for Saturday.

“This side doesn't deserve to be struggling like this. We must honour the shirt and sweat until the last second of the last game to get a result.”
