Javier Zanetti slams those who say Inter should be revamped after their Champions League exit. “It's absurd to doubt this team.”
The Nerazzurri run the real risk of ending this season empty-handed, as they are third in the Serie A standings and lost 7-3 on aggregate to Schalke 04.
“We will find the right fuel to keep us going from here to the end of the season, even if lately we had to put a lot of effort in,” Zanetti told Sky Sport Italia.
Some newspapers are outlining massive changes for the summer transfer window that will clear out the old guard.
“Clearly the Champions League elimination upset us, but it is absurd to doubt this team.
“As for the Scudetto, it no longer depends on us. All we can do is give 100 per cent in the games we have left and then we'll see where we are.”
