Cossu wants Cagliari future

Andrea Cossu has no ambitions of ending his career with an Italian giant. "I'm happy at Cagliari."

Cossu's contract expires in June 2012 and there have been suggestions that he could move on after breaking into the Italy set-up last year.

However, the attacking midfielder says he's more than satisfied with finishing his playing days at the Stadio Sant'Elia.

"I want to end my career here," he stated. "I'm very happy in this city and at this club. I want to stay at Cagliari for the rest of my life.

"My contract? I hope that we can start discussing a renewal as soon as possible," continued the 30-year-old.

Cossu first played for Cagliari in 2005-06. He subsequently spent two years at Verona before returning to Sardinia in 2008.

He has two Azzurri caps to his name so far.
