The agent of Antonio Nocerino has denied reports that the Palermo player is on his way to Napoli.
The 26-year-old has been associated with his hometown club on numerous occasions in the past and new links have emerged.
Napoli are keen on reinforcing their midfield over the summer and Nocerino is on the club's list of targets.
According to whispers, Napoli sporting director Riccardo Bigon has already made initial enquiries with the player's representative.
However, agent Marco Somella has been quick to dismiss such stories.
"My client has always been a Napoli fan, but for the moment there are no negotiations taking place with the Azzurri," he noted.
"Nocerino is a player who is being monitored by a lot of clubs and his career has now reached a point of maturity."
Antonio has been with Palermo since 2008 when he was sold by Juventus in the deal that saw the Old Lady net Amauri from the Rosanero.
Nocerino, a former Under-21 international, has three caps to his name – the last two coming in last month's wins against Slovenia and the Ukraine.
