'Samp have nothing to lose'

Alberto Cavasin claims Sampdoria have nothing to lose when they travel to face League leaders Milan on Saturday.

The Blucerchiati are in a desperate state, having lost six of their last eight games in Serie A.

They currently lie 17th in the table, one-point clear of the relegation zone.

"We have nothing to lose and everything to gain," Cavasin said.

"Playing with clear heads could be an advantage, but we'll need concentration and determination and we have to keep that concentration high for the entire game.

"I believe that the points needed to survive will be high, above 37 or 38 and to reach that objective we'll need the best Samp.

"I am optimistic, like I was a month ago. The conditions are improving and I have seen positive signals even against Lecce.

"Milan are a great team with great strikers who can always hurt you."
