Adrian Mutu has pledged to “stay with Fiorentina for a long time. This weekend a win over Juventus is worth more than three points.”
The Romanian has had a troubled time in his career and recently completed a second doping ban, having accidentally taken a banned substance in a diet pill.
“What do I see in my future? I want to stay with Fiorentina for a long time,” he told the Corriere dello Sport.
“I have decided to be a good boy and will make decisions only with my club.”
Mutu had also been frozen out after storming out of training when he wasn't allowed a January transfer to Cesena, but has parted company with his agent over the affair.
On Sunday his Viola side face old rivals Juventus and he believes a place in Europe is not out of the question.
“The game against Juventus is a huge affair. Absurdly, Fiorentina could even get relegated, but a win over Juventus is worth more than three points.
“Besides, in my view it's not over yet, as we are behind the Bianconeri and can still catch them. We just need to play with pride.”
