Giuseppe Mascara claims Napoli will be looking for redemption when they face Palermo this weekend.
Napoli lost 2-1 to Udinese on Sunday and dropped six points behind League leaders Milan.
Interviewed by Radio Marte, Mascara said: "I am fighting for something important. I am part of an incredible group.
"Unfortunately on Sunday against Udinese we didn't manage to get a positive result, but we tried.
"The season must be faced one game at a time. We are not looking at the others. We are only thinking about ourselves.
"We are conscious of our means."
This weekend's game has a derby-like feel for Mascara considering he used to play for Catania.
"The Palermo fans will whistle me but I am only thinking about doing well for Napoli."
