Zanetti: 'Inter never give in!'

Javier Zanetti points out Inter don't know when they are beaten. “This side never gives in and it showed.”

It all looked to be going downhill today against Lazio when Julio Cesar was sent off after just 21 minutes and Mauro Zarate converted the penalty.

However, they fought back to win 2-1 despite playing with 10 men and having replacement goalkeeper Luca Castellazzi limping throughout the second half.

“It was a victory of the whole group, one of character. This side never gives in and it showed,” said captain Zanetti.

“This is a great win against an excellent Lazio aside despite everything that happened. Naturally, we are truly happy.”

The game had been a battle for third place, but Napoli's defeat at Palermo means Inter have climbed back into second.
