Napoli plan to adjust Edinson Cavani's contract in order to keep their star player happy amid interest from big clubs in Spain and England.
The 24-year-old Uruguay international has been a revelation in his first season at Napoli and broke a club record after scoring 26 goals in Serie A.
Cavani is contracted to Napoli until 2015 and currently earns €1.8m a season.
However, the player's agent Claudio Anellucci feels his client's achievements at the San Paolo deserve greater recognition.
He has asked for an extension until 2016 with an annual salary worth €3m.
Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis will barter that figure down, but an agreement will be reached.
He has recommended that a buy-out clause worth at least €50m be inserted into the new contract.
