Mutti: 'Bari will honour Roma match'

Bortolo Mutti insists Bari “may be relegated, but we're still motivated” ahead of tonight's home game with Roma.

The Galletti finally lost their battle to stay in Serie A with last week's 1-0 defeat to Sampdoria, but the writing had been on the wall for some time.

“We are still in Serie A right now,” pointed out the Coach. “Even though mathematically we will be in Serie B next season, we want to leave the top flight with honour.

“These last few games will be important shop windows for the lads, who will go on to the field with the right determination.

“I saw them training with the best attitude this week and we will do our best against Roma. I can promise you Bari will play with the utmost effort to honour this shirt.”

Mutti intends to cause problems for Champions League-chasing Roma, as he hinted at a change of system to the 4-3-1-2.

It would have Simone Bentivoglio in the trequartista role behind Emanuel Rivas and Erik Huseklepp, plus Nicola Belmonte stepping in to the back four.

Gergely Rudolf is suspended for another two matches, while Vitalii Kutuzov, Stefano Okaka, Salvatore Masiello, Nacho Castillo and Paulo Vitor Barreto are all out injured for the rest of the season.
