Ambrosini wants Milan extension

Massimo Ambrosini has invited Milan to offer him a new contract at San Siro. "I'd stay," said the midfielder.

Club captain Ambrosini is one of a number of high profile players whose contracts will expire next month.

"I'd stay, but this is something that needs to be discussed between both parties," said the midfielder.

"When the right moment arrives then Milan will be obliged to make their intentions to me clear," he added.

"We'll have to just wait and see what happens, but I'm hopeful that a solution will be found."

Other players who are in the same position as Ambrosini include Alessandro Nesta, Andrea Pirlo and Clarence Seedorf.
