Andrea Agnelli has distanced Juventus from reports linking the club with a move for out of favour Sampdoria fantasista Antonio Cassano.
The 28-year-old looks set to leave Marassi after Sampdoria asked that his contract be rescinded following his "gravely offensive" behaviour towards Riccardo Garrone.
Juventus have been frequently linked with Cassano, partly because they were close to signing him a couple of years ago, only for a couple of board members to express their disapproval.
"Juve have other plans," Agnelli said. "There isn't space for him.
"I hope he finds fortune elsewhere. I will suggest that we sign Alberto Aquilani outright."
Agnelli was also drawn on speculation regarding Gigi Buffon's future at the club amid reports linking the goalkeeper with Manchester United.
"Gigi has been the star of Juventus for 10 years and he will always be so."
