Alessandro Del Piero was in dejected mood following the 2-2 draw with Chievo. "This match is a photograph of our season."
The Old Lady were looking good for victory thanks to a penalty from the captain and an Alessandro Matri strike.
However, in the space of 60 mad seconds, Chievo scored twice to net the point they needed to confirm their Serie A status.
"We were doing well until the second goal and were fairly comfortable," the No 10 stated after the game.
"Unfortunately we paid a heavy price for taking our eyes off the ball, and it could have been even worse at the end, but we could have even won it ourselves.
"This draw is a photograph of our season. We're a side who can play better and have obtained less than what we're capable of.
"Something is definitely missing, if we knew what then we would have already rectified the situation."
Juve needed a win last night to keep their slim Champions League hopes alive, but now they have to make up five points on Udinese with just six left on offer.
"We are angry and upset about missing out on the Champions League, a target which seemed reachable at a certain point.
"Now we only have to be more focused to do the best we can in the last two games and especially next season."
Last night's draw has also increased the speculation that the club will show boss Gigi Del Neri the door during the summer.
"The club will make their decisions and I don't get involved," Alex continued. "All I can say is that the squad has a good relationship with the Coach."
