Bologna make Giampaolo U-turn

Bologna have surprisingly opted against hiring Marco Giampaolo as their new Coach for next season, reports claim.

The club held a board meeting yesterday to discuss their plans for the future, including who would be appointed as their new Coach.

Giampaolo was the hot favourite to be selected ahead of the talks, but the club seem to have decided against appointing him.

Whispers are suggesting that while they rate the tactician highly, his staffing demands are reportedly excessive for the Rossoblu.

As a result, former Cagliari boss Pierpaolo Bisoli and current Varese tactician Giuseppe Sannino are being paired with the Stadio Dall'Ara outfit.

Bologna are currently bossed by Alberto Malesani but he is expected to move on at the end of the campaign. Genoa are apparently interested in his services.
