Cagliari have dismissed speculation that Fiorentina are interested in signing Andrea Lazzari this summer.
Although the Rossoblu have admitted that there are a number of clubs keen on their star player, Fiorentina are not one of them.
"Lazzari is a good player, someone who interests a lot of sides but Fiorentina are not among them," Cagliari sporting director Francesco Marroccu told firenzeviola.it.
"Therefore there is nothing going on with Fiorentina.
"Anyway, it is too early to talk about the market. There are still two games of this season left which need to be honoured."
Lazzari, 26, grew up in the Atalanta youth academy and joined Cagliari in 2008 after a season at Grosseto in Serie B.
The midfielder, who has a fan in Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri following their time together in Sardinia, has been called up to the Italy squad by Cesare Prandelli this term, but he is yet to be capped.
