Juventus have denied talks with Napoli Coach Walter Mazzarri and it's now reported his real destination is Roma.
The tactician publicly declared he was considering a move away from Naples over the summer, as he must have negotiations with the club before deciding whether to continue.
Up until now it was widely believed Juventus were the club tempting Mazzarri, but the Turin giants denied being in contact with him.
Sky Sport Italia pundit Gianni Di Marzio now sensationally claims that Roma are the real team on the horizon.
“It's not convenient for Napoli to claw back a rapport that is heading towards a divorce,” he told Radio Kiss Kiss.
“Mazzarri wants to leave and everyone has understood that. As far as I know, there is a race for the Giallorossi to sign him.
“If I were President Aurelio De Laurentiis, I'd focus on a very experienced Coach like Claudio Ranieri. A younger option would be Gian Piero Gasperini.”
Roma are probably looking for a new tactician after Vincenzo Montella's caretaker role, as from the summer American investor Thomas Di Benedetto will be in charge.
A great deal may well depend on whether the Giallorossi qualify for the Champions League.
