Inter say they have yet to decide whether to make a fresh bid for Alexis Sanchez of Udinese.
The Chilean international is one of the hottest properties on the European market and he's been linked with numerous clubs.
It is widely understood that Manchester City have already held talks with Udinese, but Sanchez may have an Italian option in Inter.
The Nerazzurri were looking to sign the fantasy player in January, but negotiations were put on hold.
"President Massimo Moratti and director Marco Branca had a go in November and December for Sanchez," Piero Ausilio, Branca's assistant, told Sky Italia.
"However, the Udinese directors were good enough to put things off until June.
"Sanchez remains an excellent player and we'll assess our options. The season is nearly over so let's see."
Although Udinese were hoping to keep their squad intact if they qualify for the Champions League, Sanchez may be sacrificed at the right price.
Barcelona, Manchester United and Chelsea have also been paired with the 2010 World Cup player.
