Bari teenager Francesco Grandolfo scored a hat-trick on his full Serie A debut and has already been linked with Milan and Manchester United.
The striker does not turn 19 until July and had made only two substitute appearances before his amazing treble in the 4-0 win at Bologna on Sunday.
“I couldn't sleep on Sunday night, as the emotions were just too much for me,” he told Il Giorno newspaper.
“After the first goal I immediately went to embrace the Coach, as without his help I never could've had this experience.”
Bari native Antonio Cassano famously scored against Inter on his full Serie A debut, so could Grandolfo make a similar impact?
“I hope to follow some of Cassano's footsteps,” replied the home-grown teen.
Agent Giuseppe Bozzo revealed his price-tag has sky-rocketed with reported interest from Milan and Manchester United.
“A few weeks ago he only cost €200,000, but many of the Serie A directors ignored him and preferred to seek talent in Brazil,” said Bozzo.
