Marco Borriello's agent has categorically dismissed the notion that his client could move to Genoa this summer.
Speculation had suggested that Milan, who still own the player, could hand him back to his former club as part of transfer talks between the two outfits.
"Such a possibility is to be considered as fantasy football," Tiberio Cavallari noted. "We are talking about a highly improbable scenario.
"I also doubt that Roma, once they sign him outright, would then consider his sale," continued the representative.
"If I was Roma I wouldn't rid myself of a player who, despite not always featuring, scored 17 goals and won eight penalties this season."
Roma netted the Italian international, 28, at the start of the term on loan, but with the understanding that they would buy him outright at the end of the present campaign.
Borriello spent the 2007-08 season at Genoa where he scored 19 Serie A goals in 35 games.
