Gilardino set for Viola talks

Fiorentina are expected to hold talks with the agent of Alberto Gilardino next week to discuss his future.

Viola sporting director Pantaleo Corvino has numerous meetings lined up once he returns from South America, one of the first being about the Italian striker.

Gilardino's representative, Giuseppe Bozzo, will talk to the official with regard to his plans over the player.

The Corriere dello Sport suggests that Fiorentina and Gilardino will happily continue their relationship despite the rumour mill claiming he is wanted elsewhere.

The Azzurri international has been paired with moves to Juventus, Lazio and Lyon over the last few months.

Gila is apparently ready to stay with the Viola and the club would only consider his sale if they received an offer which was too good to refuse.

Fiorentina are set for a busy summer in the market, given that Alberto Santana, Riccardo Montolivo and Sebastien Frey are expected to be sold.
