“There is a 90 per cent chance Federico Macheda will remain with Manchester United,” declared his agent.
The Italy Under-21 international joined Sampdoria on loan in January, but barely featured and could not stop their relegation.
“He returned to Manchester for treatment on an injury,” agent Giovanni Bia told TMW.
“After Saturday's Champions League Final, I will speak to Sir Alex Ferguson, but there is a 90 per cent chance Macheda will remain with Manchester United.”
Macheda had come to Samp looking for regular first team football, but if anything played even less than he would've done at Old Trafford.
The representative left the door open for another Serie A loan option, as the likes of Parma and Fiorentina are said to be interested.
