Inter captain Javier Zanetti hoisted the Italian Cup into the Rome sky with pride last night after the win over Palermo.
"It was fantastic to be able to raise another trophy," the Argentine veteran noted after the 3-1 victory.
"This is a victory for everyone – the team, the President, Leonardo and the fans, those who were with us in Rome and those who saw the match in front of the television.
"It was a difficult victory and that makes it even more beautiful," the Nerazzurri inspiration added.
"Congratulations to Palermo, who played a great match, but also to us because we showed ourselves again to be a real group and a team that knows how to overcome all obstacles."
Zanetti has now won the Coppa Italia on four occasions with the Beneamata.
Last night's game was his tenth appearance in a Coppa Italia Final – the matches were two-legged affairs before switched to a one-game Rome venue.
Roberto Mancini is the record holder with 15 Final appearances, followed by Fausto Salsano and Francesco Toldo with 11.
