Cassano salutes fan protest

Fans staged a sit-in outside Antonio Cassano's house, earning a response from the Sampdoria outcast.

The supporters have been split over the row that sees the club in the process of terminating his contract for ‘insubordination.'

A group of around 50 made their feelings clear by staging a sit-in under the striker's apartment in Genoa.

They got together on a Facebook group titles ‘Those who want Cassano to stay at Samp,' and sat in the street waving banners, chanting for FantAntonio.

The player responded by leaning out of his window, applauding the supporters and slapping his hand to his chest in a sign of love.

Cassano repeated this three times, thanking the fans for their efforts.
