Marcello Lippi has wished Antonio Conte well after the latter was confirmed as the new Coach of Juventus.
Lippi bossed Conte as a player in Turin and now it is the latter's turn to sit on the prestigious Bianconeri bench.
"I have no advice for him, I just wish him luck," the 2006 World Cup winning tactician told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"Antonio wanted this so much, you can't imagine how much. He is in love with Juventus and I'm very happy for him.
"He was a fantastic professional, a leader in all of the Juventus sides that he played in and a great captain.
"Antonio was a generous player, he'd be all over the pitch. He supported attacks, he would shoot and he scored a number of goals. He was a complete midfielder.
"He'll transmit everything which is inside of him – his passion and his desire to win."
Conte, who replaced Gigi Del Neri in Turin, has signed a two-year deal with the Old Lady after leading Siena to promotion.
