Luis Enrique is a step closer to joining Roma after announcing his departure from the Barcelona B bench. “My era has come to an end.”
The former Spain international midfielder has been the Coach of the reserve side for three years, but is expected to sign for the Giallorossi within days.
“If players have a brief time at a club, then for a tactician it is even more so. I must say these have been three fantastic years,” declared Luis Enrique on Barca TV.
“I have decided that my era has come to an end. I said that even before other offers came in for me.
“I am satisfied and proud of what we have achieved in these three years, because I think some of those targets were thanks to me.
“There is a great squad here with players of superior quality, but we also work together so everyone feels important and helps out their teammates.”
