Rafinha has expressed his pleasure at having completed his move from Genoa to German giants Bayern Munich.
"I'm delighted my transfer to Munich has worked out and that I'll be playing in the Bundesliga again," he told the club's official website.
"The target now is to finally win the trophies I've been denied so far. I'll now be facing the best teams and the best players in the world. I'm very happy."
The right-back, signed for an undisclosed fee that is believed to be around €7m, has penned a three-year contract.
The Brazilian, who has one cap, leaves Serie A just a year after joining the Marassi outfit from Schalke 04.
"We've signed Rafinha, an established and experienced player, to add even greater stability to our defence," stated Bayern director of sport Christian Nerlinger.
"We'll also benefit from his footballing skill. We're very pleased we've been able to reach agreement with him and Genoa over his transfer to Munich."
