Marcello Lippi is hopeful that Antonio Conte can follow in his footsteps and win the Scudetto with Juventus at the first attempt.
Lippi led the Old Lady to the title in 1994, with Conte in his side, after leaving Napoli for the Bianconeri.
"That season a lot of champions arrived to join the champions already there. That's how that great side was created," Lippi told Tuttosport.
"I think there is what is needed to repeat that scenario, especially as the club's intentions seem clear. There is a desire to make important signings and strengthen the side.
"If the right players arrive then there could be similarities with 1994, including the hunger for victories after such a long time without success."
Conte has been handed a two-year contract by the outfit after leading Siena to Serie A promotion this season.
"Conte is the right choice," Lippi added. "He strongly represents Juventus-ness, as a former player and a captain.
"He was a protagonist of a Juventus side which was a protagonist. He knows what to do and how to behave. He was a leader on the pitch, he'll be one on the bench too.
"Conte can re-awaken the old spirit and teach it to the new players. I see the right amount of enthusiasm within the environment."
