Rossi: 'I've had a great season'

Giuseppe Rossi was the star of tonight's 3-0 win over Estonia, as this season he has scored 35 goals in 62 games between club and country.

“It's a great season and I'm happy that everything has gone well. Naturally, I always want to do better,” said the Villarreal talent.

Italy are trying to approach the tactics of Spain and Barcelona by packing the side with creative figures.

“Cesare Prandelli didn't copy anything, he developed his own approach and everyone played well. It's good to start the moves from the back by exchanging passes.

“I can play in many different systems and always try to give my best where the Coach places me.

“I got on very well with Antonio, who is a champion and so it's easy to play alongside him.”

Rossi is in negotiations with Barcelona for a move this summer, but refused to comment when asked about this transfer.

“I am here for the Nazionale and only want to focus on that right now.”
